Seasonal Circles for women…
What is a Circle?
A group of women, who come together to breath, listen, share and take time out of our busy lives; a gathering that feels nourishing, heartwarming and joyful.
The Circle experience is different from that of having a coffee, or meal with friends. In such, more usual, social gatherings we might find ourselves interrupted whilst sharing, given advice or trumped by the listener’s own experience. It’s very often not possible to be received as our full selves in these situations.
Circle is different; ritualistic, gentle, holding. We listen intently and allow others to share freely without fear or worry, knowing we will be met exactly where we are. The Circle itself holds what is shared so we don’t have to. We can simply bear non-judgemental witness to one another.
This can seem unfamiliar until you experience it, and yet there is something healing in being truly heard as we speak our truth; life enhancing and transforming.
Who comes to a Growthfully Circle?
Any woman, of any age or culture who feels a need to connect with women, speak her truth and be witnessed.
It’s very powerful when women of different generations come together to share; inspiring, heartening and very useful for those of us who value the presence and example of older like-minded women in our lives.
Why come to Circle?
To find a sense of belonging and connection with other women
Experience your own ancient wisdom and that of other women
to listen as well as speak. Some just listen without speaking which is welcome.
The space is completely confidential - what’s said in Circle stays in Circle.
It may feel difficult to step (even metaphorically online) into a group and let ourselves be seen and heard, yet taking the risk and allowing yourself be held in a brave and healing space is moving, powerful and potentially transformative.
Friday lunchtimes 1-2.30pm on Zoom
Circles are offered monthly for a maximum of eight women. The next Circle will take place in January 2023.
The History of Circle
Women have gathered in Circle for generations to connect with each other, their deep intuition, grieve, support, share and listen.
All across the world Circles have been spaces of holding and healing; and we offer our thanks to the women who have safe-guarded and continued this tradition.
Circles traditionally belong to the First Nation people and we appreciate and value the wisdom and knowing they hold and have passed on. If going to Circle were as common as going to yoga or the gym the world would be a much better place.
