Here’s where I share what I’m up to in my own garden.
We’ve had a series of grey days but I’ve kept my eyes open to the small joys that are around. In this post I’m sharing six winter-flowering plants that are doing their thing right now in deepest January.
I sowed my meadow very late - in the first week of June and using a seed mix created by Nigel Dunnett, of Sheffield University, who designed the poppy filled planting around the Olympic Stadium,
I’m growing ‘Matacuna’ - a wonderful combination of deep purples and reds in each sweet-pea flower. They are the first of my seeds to really get going and are at the stage of just forming their true leaves.
I recently spent the day at the wonderful market garden of ‘no-dig’ guru, Charles Dowding, in Somerset.
Introducing my new greenhouse. I am seriously excited about this next stage in my gardening life. Can’t wait to get in and start growing. Share my journey…
I often write about the pleasure I get from the pots I display by our front and back doors. They’re a collection of evergreens, small shrubs and seasonal lovelies and I love creating, caring for and admiring them. However this post is about the containers, my collection and where I find them.
